
Founded in 1878 and 6 generations, the Bouisset's family have been making tiles and terra cotta products.
For 80 years, the factory only made roof tiles and building bricks.
In the sixties, Joseph, the bouisset's 4th generation became aware of the competition from the big manufacturers and began to find new products like floor tiles, exterior terra cotta paving and special roof tiles trade name "scale".
At the beginning of the seventies, joseph Bouisset died and his son, Alain began to work for the factory.
In 1981, BOUISSET BRICKYARD INC was creating. Alain Bouisset began searching for new products. He started producting products such as rustic floor tiles, stonewares, fireproof bricks and a special brick for build barbecues whose trade name is "Easybrick".
Year after year, the factory learned new techniques like roof tiles for rounded towers, terra cotta balusters and a lot of terra cotta products for decoration. For all this production the factory developed glazed technique. BOUISSET Brickyard worked also on terra cotta reproduction to restore Historic Monuments.
At the end of the nineties, they started on other decoration items, this time handmade. These products are glazed clay pots and a typical southern France urn Know as "Jar". Also in production is a range of limestone garden ornaments, wich are beautifully finished to give an older look, known in the trade as "TERRES D'ALBINE"
